Table of House and Lot Numbers

This table, arranged by address, shows the number of each lot on each of the three map sources referred to in this website. The buttons at the head of the columns take you to the corresponding maps and plans. Some notes below the table explain a few oddities in the contents.

Notes

Subdivision Plan: As mentioned elsewhere, the plan precedes the subdivision of lot 69 into the house lots now occupied by 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29 Mason Street and lot 91 into the house lots now occupied by 11–14 White Pine Lane. Another way it is out of date involves 6 and 8 Mason Street and 2, 4, and 6 White Pine Lane: these five lots were created in a space that on the plan holds only four lots, numbered 74 through 77. So the correspondence between any of the modern house lots and any of the four lots on the plan is partial and approximate, as noted.

Lexington Town Property Maps: The Lexington assessors use several maps to cover the town, and the boundary between two of these maps, 8 and 14, cuts across our neighborhood. You need to know the map number as well as the lot number to find your house. (Both numbers appear on your property tax bills.)

Registered Land Plan: Since it is at least as old as the subdivision plan, this map also fails to show the subdivision of Lot 1 on the northern side of Mason St (identical to lot 69 on the subdivision plan). Lot 91 is not on this plan; it appears to have belonged to someone other than Benjamin Franklin Homes at the time the plan was made. The tiny, triangular lot 4 corresponds to a part of the property at 7 White Pine Lane.
